Welcome to another Goo-Net Challenge where a vehicle search challenge is given, using Goo-Net Exchange.

Today’s challenge is an interesting one that I think many of you will enjoy.

Here’s the basis: You’re a curator for an automotive museum in the US, and have been given a 100,000,000 yen budget to search for cars for a new JDM exhibit in the museum.

You are required to select at least one car from each major Japanese manufacturer, past and present: Daihatsu, Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, and Toyota, plus one Mitsuoka as well.

More obscure brands, luxury divisions, and such are also allowed, as long at they’re models not offered in the US and are of Japanese brands ONLY (that means cars like the Opel Vita (rebadged Corsa), Chrysler Ypsilon, and Chevrolet MW aren’t allowed, for example, though Japanese branded versions of non-Japanese cars ARE allowed, like the Toyota Cavalier and Voltz).

You can choose as many cars as you wish, as long as you remain under that 100 million yen budget, and have a minimum of 10 cars chosen, per manufacturer requirements. Just FYI, that’s $963,392 at current exchange rates, so less than a million dollars.

Just remember to pick wisely. The more cars you pick, the more shipping costs you’ll have to pay to get them to the US, but the fewer you pick, the less you’ll have for the exhibit.

Good luck.
